"These wingnuts are so wrong headed, so cowardly, so fearful." If they hadn't of gained influence, we could just make fun of them. But, they need to be engaged. "We'd be SO much better off if they'd delcared a "War on Diarrhea"!: True. But then people are rationally able to evaluate those costs. With terrorism, they can convince people to load up pallets of $100 bills and fly them to Iraq where they vanish and no one ever asks about them. Or award multi-million dollar no-bid contracts to a guy in his early 20s to supply obsolete ammunition from illegal sources.
