Steve, The left has vilified Newt for years. Now if you claim you have not vilified Newt and have been a supporter of his then I will accept it because I am not going to research it. While labels on this board are not liked - if you are not left I am not right. I could not care less if I am called a right winger. I could not care less if I am called an Obamaphobe. Sometimes the truth is the truth. I did follow up with "seriously" - but I find it amazing that now Newt is a person you use to support your arguments. Heck - John McCain is a CO2 nut case too. The only thing left is to decide how to best profit from national idiocy. Now - I recognize use of the term idiocy is inflammatory. However, let's think about it. We have India and China going full bore with energy development from coal. If that is true what ever we do is like pushing on a rope. How much cost are we willing to incur for no benefit. Do any of the CO2 scaremongers have the guts to tell people what their ideas will cost. If they tell the truth and people still vote for them fine. For now I believe they are being tricked.
