Let's try to establish the framework of the debate.

If I am reading this right, I am seeing two sides to the argument:

1) You, Bob, and perhaps others, are saying that even one terrorist attack is too many and that we should do everything in our power to prevent it.

2) Syb, I and others, are saying that in a free society, a certain level of terrorist activity is inevitable.

Have I framed the debate fairly?

If so, hopefully we can proceed from here.
