The funniest part of McCain's stumble was when he said Iran wasn't training AQ, they were training "extremists". And not a single reporter asked the obvious question, "So AQ are not extremists?"

There is no clear definition of any of these groups and their aims and capability, just scary labels tossed around in a general Big Threat picture to rationalize current policy.
