I don't know about MI, but the FL legislature didn't really care what the DNC said. They are controlled by Republicans who like to stick it to Democrats.

Oh, now that makes sense. And if that's the case, it makes the DNC's refusal to accept the earlier date sorta unreasonable.

It was Democratic sponsered legislation and when it went through committee none of the Democrats voted against it. The bill passed with overwhelming bipartisan support (though it was attached to a larger bill).

I went looking and I couldnt find any FL Democrats speaking out against the date until about August of last year....right when they realized that the DNC was serious about taking away their delegates.

There is plenty of things to blame Republicans about, this isnt one of them.
