Some of the extreme things we could do: Halt all imports into the nation, too risky, no way to make shipments 100% secure Halt commercial aviation, limit aviation to homeland security and military Halt all immigration Continue to allow passenger ships but require all passengers to disembark at offshore terminals, to be throughly inspected before reaching the mainland Tighten restrictions on explosives, materials to make explosives, and firearms Mandatory national ID that must be renewed quarterly Eliminate most forms of mass transit Checkpoints at random spots Local law enforcement officers carry automatic weapons at all times Unannounced raids on homes and businesses Kicking down doors to check papers Making Muslims wear visible ID badges Relocation camps for Muslims
