Yes, it's working for Obama, as most people barely read any paper or visit any news sites, other than a headline or two...And I think he's counting on that.

Both Kerry and Obama pass the blame when something go wrong. It's a sure route for making yourself smaller in public estimation.

I have never understood this reaction. In my business, when one of my guys screwed up, I was at the customer's door doing a complete "Mea Culpa" and taking all the blame. They would end up comforting me. Always works best.
