VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 29, 2008) - Blackstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE: BLV.V) is pleased to report additional assay results from diamond drilling at the Ertelia Mine prospect in south-central Norway. New results include 11.34 metres grading 0.78% Ni and 0.66% Cu.

Recent Results and Exploration

A total of 65 drill holes have been completed since Blackstone first began drill-testing below and adjacent historic mine workings at Ertelia. Results have now been received from shallow sulphide zones cut in drill holes ER08-42 to -44 and ER08-58, and a deeper nickel-copper intersection in drill hole ER08-49. A longitudinal drill section is appended to this release (to view please click on: media3.marketwire.com.

Nickel-copper mineralization at Ertelia extends 600 metres along strike and 700 metres down-plunge and remains open to depth. Drill holes ER08-50 to -56, and ER08-60 to -61 bracketed the limits of mineralization along strike to the southeast and northwest, respectively. Drill holes ER08-64 and -65 tested the western contact of the Ertelia Gabbro. Assays are pending for a sulphide intersection in drill hole ER08-57.

CEO Dean MacEachern comments, "We have now brought Ertelia to a point where we have sufficient drill coverage to complete a NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate which is planned for later this year. The Ertelia project is a good example of where our exploration has significantly extended mineralization below a past-producing mine. We have several historic nickel-copper deposits in our portfolio, many of which we have yet to even begin testing."

Exploration programs are being carried out under the direction of Jari Paakki, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration and Project Development for Blackstone and a qualified person as defined by National Instrument (NI) 43-101. The information in this release was prepared under the direction of Dean MacEachern, P.Geo., President and Chief Executive Officer for Blackstone, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
