<<<The redefining of Scott McClellan by the right is fascinating to watch. >>>

It is not only the right, "Liberal media" is also at it. Dick Gregory is going around saying McClellan was not involved in the decision making and is passing judgement based on derivative information - as if he was not an insider.

It is "Liberal Media" that rolled over for GWB. The same "Liberal Media" that is trashing Hillary.

If I were in McClellan's position and felt like I had broken with the old crowd on bad terms, had no interest in a future with them and I could make some big bucks taking some parting shots, I would do it in a flash.

The net effect of all the teeth-gnashing on the right is to show just what an insular, self-serving club they have become. It's still all about the "we never made mistakes or did anything wrong" mantra that the White House chants, but more than 70% of America thinks is a total crock.

The market of public opinion has spoken. I hope McClellan cashes in big-time at the Bush administration's expense. They are just reaping what they sowed with all the BS they shoveled over the years.

I find the timing and intent of the book questionable

It could be simply that he published it just as soon as it was completed.

Rambi did you happen to read my post as to how the reactions to the book would be.. I think I almost put it in sequence..

Imagine yourself in the job Scott was in. Fed all these stories to relate to the media and being the good loyal guy he was he stood there and delivered believing in what he was saying. Then later to learn that he had been given lies to
spread.

Would you feel gratuitous ? Would you fall into lockstep with the administration family and keep quiet ? Maybe you would. I admire the guy whom I always thought of as milk toast for finally coming forward with his frustrations.
