The problem is that when Rove was feeding them material, they started to think that they were actually good at this stuff. If I were Obama, I'd make more "slips" which their superficial investigations would come up with all kinds of juicy stuff, then later correct the slip in a way that shows how wrong they all. Because, in their zeal to nail Obama, they will start lying. Like with this. You scan the blogs and you will see attempts to claim that the 89th didn't really do anything. That it was all faked, presumably so that Obama could use it in the election. It does have to be noted......this kind of crap worked in the last presidential election. Its why they think it will work now.......that and the fact Rove was behind it. BTW I think Rove looked better than he was only because America had dumbed down after 2000 and were paticularly gullible to his bull. Having said that, the Obama campaign is wise to the GOP tactics and drills back fast after an attack. Of course, it helps that the GOPers have become chronic liars.
