Excellent. I've been watching Th!nk as well. Great company with a great product. At a 110 mile range, these cars will satisfy most consumers. I remember reading somewhere that 70% of consumers drive 40 miles or less a day. 80% drive 50 miles or less. So a car with 110 mile range should satisfy 90% or more of consumers. However, most families, my own included, will have to have a second car for longer trips. I think ultimately we'll need a fully electric car with some kind of range extending technology, similar to what GM's VOLT is trying to do.

What's remarkable is that the small startup companies are forcing the issue with the big car makers. I think that these small startups will take a significant share and force the big car makers to buy them out in the next decade or so. For example, maybe Ford will buy back Th!nk. It's amazing how stupid the big US car makers have been. They owned all the technology and then got rid of it, from the EV1 to Th!nk. Have to ask what their employee recruiting strategy is. Is it to hire the dumbest people available?

Long live Silicon Valley. That region has been the savior of this country's economy on more than one occasion.
