You can really be concerned. Other "ones" might not be the least concerned. Don't confuse your one-ness with universal one-ness.

Too many people use "patriotism" as a code word for mandating that a candidate follow a specific policy agenda. Conflating the two notions is Rovian spin at its best.

I have absolutely no doubt that McCain and Obama love their country as much as anyone. What they think we should do at home and in the world is very different. And I fully expect to keep hearing that because Obama won't follow McCain's agenda, his patriotism is in doubt.

More Beltway BS, manufactured for public consumption because it often works very, very well.

But maybe not this time.
