(Edit: Sorry to let you down and not beat you about the head and shoulders more.) I did like a lot of what he said that you didn't repeat: He will cut billions in wasteful spending. He will not invest in unproven missile defense systems He will negotiate with Russia to take ICBMs off hairtrigger alert. He will initiate a defense priorities board to oversee the quadrennial review to ensure it isn't used to justify unnecessary spending.

Many Moose; If we undercut our strength, we can be assured the forces of evil will see their opportunity. What undercut America's strength was Bush taking on two wars and being unable to win either. We had the perception of invincibility. No one would ever mess with a country that had the capability of dropping a bomb down your chimney - as the prevailing image of the First Gulf War. Bush destroyed that. What evil will an even larger military protect us from? My goodness even the lowly and backward Afghanistan sent the Soviet empire home with their tail between their legs. Cut the military in half - today. Use that money on our own people and our own country. steve
