Can you also trade gold futures as an individual? I think IB allows individuals to trade futures. You'll have to check if that includes gold.

No i don't have access to commodity futures trading. Just as well as i know twit about futures. What really matters is what you profit when you are right and what you lose when you are wrong" which leads into his saying that his RULE #1 in the market is " Maximize profits when you are right and minimize losses when you are wrong".** Max By my discipline, the GLD chart indicated more bad to come, when timing is wrong get out, rather than HOPE the charts are WRONG. It only takes ONE right catch the bottom leading into a bull run to make the whole year IF you bail when your charts say "best bail now" rather than later.One can NOT factor in ever the the HOPE component:) i estimate charts warnings are right about 75% of the time. i used to play options a great deal. But i am now too lazy to put the time in to play that high stakes game. i need make 10% a year in case i and my wife remain as healthy as we are i am now(disgustingly healthy we are).---you see living too long these days has a major downside.(vbg:)
