And another thing, as long as I'm at it. Richard Pryor, god rest his soul.

I really get tired of hearing about him. As far as I know there is no flood of coke heads clogging the nations burn units. He has got to have been the biggest dufus on the planet to do that to himself. And yet somehow he is always sited in these conversations. As evidence of what? I submit that what he did is evidence of his own incredible incompetence and nothing more.

As I've said before, drug use is a problem, sometimes a very bad problem. Making them illegal compounds the problem. Emotional reactions to the possibility that legalizing is a better approach makes progress on the issue impossible.

Is there another kind of 8ball besides the one that tells your fortune? Why would I want that....so sock someone with it? Or to toss it down a bowling alley?

If it's some kind of drug, trust me....there is NO way I would willingly do that...It's tough enough to be totally ditzy when you are in the hospital with some operation and need drugs for the pain... I HATE being out of control of myself...

What I do object to with the illegal drug use is the damage the user inflicts on others in the community. I feel badly that the person using the stuff has screwed up his/her life so badly, and it's up to them to get well.

However, the robbery, murders, rapes, beatings, etc etc of others that causes others so much physical and emotional pain is what I object to.

If I were making the rules, anyone who does that kind of damage to others, by law, should spend the rest of their own life working for them to help restore the other person's life or that of his dependents if he/she killed the person.
