I mostly drink Boost now and yes it is tortuous with that protective cover on the top. I finally stabbed it with my letter opener each time so I could then peel it off. It also, to me, is a thinner mixture than Ensure. Ensure leaves a coating which I don't enjoy. I tried a mouth wash once after drinking Ensure and that was a terrible idea. Yuk!

Been drinking these drinks some six years now and have not gained one pound from them. Started them on advice of some of my cancer group who took them to gain weight after chemo and radiation and said they gained weight in two weeks. I did not have to have chemo or radiation and hoped I would be the one who gained the most......wrong, but still drink it for the calorie intake. I buy it at Walgreen's who put it on sale at least once a month.
