"LOL ..."

Umm, yeah. The reason for the different numbers is that Republicans were complaining they were counting too many as Republican filibusters for things that were more likely bipartisan.

Note that actual filibusters rarely occur. The term is often used to mean that Reid couldn't get enough vote for cloture. In that case, the Senate usually abandons the issue.

This was true when the Republicans controlled the Senate. So there is some ambiguity whether it can be blamed on the Republicans or not. Granted, the Republicans always pinned the blame on the Democrats, ambiguity or not.

Even taking those out, there have been a record number of filibusters.

"The Democrats have done nothing over the past two years but blame Republicans. "

Well, duh Tenchu. I am sure this is one of your laws of partisanship. The Republicans handed the Democrats a club. Now, the Republicans always took advantage of a situation like that, but it is unfair if the Democrats do the same?

"One of them even admitted to not trying to stop the war because they wanted to use it against the GOP this year."

Again, the Republicans always have done the same. Even when they had to make up an issue to club the Democrats with. The Republicans set up a situation that the Democrats can use against them. Personally, I wish they wouldn't play these games, but I can understand why they are taking advantage.

Now, if you are trying to make the argument that the Democrats are no better, you sort of have a point. They have passed far less pork, awarded fewer no-bids to political donors, haven't yet been caught with their hands in the pages or menus of bribes for services rendered, etc. Now, it may be that they are smarter than the Republicans were. But I can open a paper and not get the impression that they are trying to reimagine Guccione's "Caligula" but set on the Potomac.

Come to think of it, I did miss the lesbian love scene. They nailed much of the rest of it.
