Every Colombian I have talked to feels that Uribe has saved Colombia. (None of them are rich and few speak English). He is overwhelmingly popular. Before Uribe life in Colombia was a nightmare.

and "right wing" paramilitaries (note: I never understood what was "right wing" about them, but that is the term the MSM uses)

According to the MSM, any paramilitary group that isn't socialist is "right wing".
