Oh, the fact that they will have to pay the ACLU legal fees will be punishment enough, after the first Jewish or Muslim family that moves there and sues for violation of their civil rights gets done with them. A federal judge ordered Mississippi's Pontotoc County School District in early June to pay $144,200 for attorney's fees in a school prayer lawsuit last year. Lisa Herdahl, along with the American Civil Liberties Union and People for the American Way, sued the district in December 1994 because Herdahl's children were subjected to Bible classes and student-led intercom prayers at the North Pontotoc Atten-dance Center.
