Most of the National Parks nowdays are trying to restrict vehicles and make people that want to use the parks get out and move their fat asses. Cuts down on the bongsnorts.

CJ, > Then you should know you don't need an SUV full of equipment to enjoy an extended time in the wilderness with your kids.

Tell that to the SUV owner with the CA license plate "LIBERL" and a "No W" sticker on his rear windshield.

SUVs and minivans these days have 12" flat-panel TVs, DVD-players, and console game systems. Try putting all of that in a Toyota Pious.

None of this is really necessary, but so what? If we have the money, we should have the freedom to spend it on whatever we want. If there isn't enough gas to fuel such extravagancies, then the price of gas will naturally rise, and the ones feeling the most pain will be the SUV-owners. Meanwhile those driving Piouses will be emitting nothing but smug.

What's wrong with that?
