I thought that might be it, but a GOOG bubble being popped by Yahoo didn't quite make sense. And GOOG at least has an argument that it is not a bubble.

In hindsight it's now obvious that Japan in '91 and technology in '00 were complete bubbles, and each time at the time everybody was saying "this time it is different!!". We've got the same story with commodities and oil now (China and India demand are not going away!!!!), but after I depart the oil producing region and oil goes back to $40 per barrel (or wherever it is heading), we're all going to be shaking our heads going "Why didn't I see that coming???"

In the meantime, it is quite fun living in the bubble...
