Or, in your case, find justifications for others.

Hey, I can break and justify for myself, too. I admit to going 70 or 80 on the 55mph beltway when that's the speed of traffic, which it typically is. I used to break my state's fornication and sodomy laws, felonies, all the time back in the day. Engaged in some civil disobedience, too. I recently broke a very silly and obscure little law just a bit to help a friend. (Out of deference to the thread, I'll omit my relationship with the seatbelt laws.) Mostly, though, I don't have occasion to break laws or to justify having done so. I can justify some of other people's law breaking, but not much and rarely cheerfully.
