I would argue that Hillary would increase Obama's chances from 60% to maybe 70% in the fall. However, I think she would also bring with her a virtual certainty that the next 4 years will be focused on divisions within the American people, Clinton scandals, and the million little ways that Hillary will stab Obama in the back. We'll all be so distracted by the massive National Enquirer fodder that will be part of that joint ticket, that real progress in this country will be difficult to achieve.

I think you are over-estimating the power of the vice position. And Hill could be a good power on the Hill to get legislation passed... has more experience in that than Obama. I've never bought into the extreme dislike of Hill or the Clintons... but they better give up the ship this week of I might change my mind.

From a policy perspective Obama and Clinton are not that far apart. If a personality or race/gender thing were to divide the Dems and McSame got elected we would be in a world of hurt.

Mindmeld, > and the million little ways that Hillary will stab Obama in the back.

This.

It's 3:00 AM and the phone rings in the White House.

Obama wakes up and goes to the phone, only to see that Hillary has already answered it.

(And why is Hillary already fully dressed with make-up and jewelry on?)
