Had he stayed in his own church, that would be one thing. But to come to Trinity so soon on the heels of the very serious situation with Wright, and then preach (although what kind of sermon preaches that kind of ugly personal mocking hatred of an individual?) knowing the cameras were rolling, and then to attack Hillary in racial terms.... it seems incomprehensible to me. It seems such a strange destructive thing to do- almost intentional. Why? Surely he knew that. Even in the heat of impassioned oration, the brain still functions. Or should. His apology struck me rather odd also. He said he was sorry IF he offended Hillary Clinton. If?? He stood up there MOCKING her. That was one of those, ok, I have to apologize, but I really won't. But he isn't the issue, of course- his goodness or badness. It's what he did to obama that is sad.
