I can't imagine ASKING them after they'd been demonized. You make the offer in a gesture of getting things done instead of wallowing in partisan screaming, and they take it or they don't. If not, there are thousands of others who will all over the country. The problem with nutty preachers is they eventually convince themselves they are little demigods in their own right, above the populace and the rules and everything because they can whip up a crowd. So they start saying even goofier crap than before - no one can hold them accountable, right? That is exactly what we don't need any more of anywhere, in the city or out, be it Falwell or Wright or Hagee or Pfleger or Robertson or whatever.
