The reason I do not agree is that I see NOTHING about love, reconciliation, caring for each other, and peace coming from the demagogues that talk over there. Liberation theology is, at its root, about about the poor and oppressed. That's very Christian. Like most religions, and religious leaders, it gets a bit full of itself and contorted, but its heart is in a very Christian place. Mother Theresa as a political activist. I don't favor it for a lot or reasons but I can't find a way to question its Christian basis.
