it's not a straw man
I took the words from someone else's post. It would be a straw man if I made it up myself.

The suggestion was made to throw Pfleger under the axle. That means throwing a segment of the black community under the axle with him. I didn't find that to be a good idea. I talked about the non-monolithic nature of the black community- so it wasn't about throwing the "black community" under a bus. That would be YOUR straw man of what I said. Ironic.

And of course I said it myself about the divide between religion and politics. I don't happen to think the two things mix very well. That doesn't mean I don't see the value in Pfleger, and that's all my posts were about. I don't know what points you think you are trying to make to me, but they seem to me to either be wrong (straw man), or points I've already made myself.
