"The Brussels Journal - The Voice of Conservatism in Europe" it says on their masthead on the homepage.

Gee, I'm shocked that they come to alarmist conclusions. If I go search the most alarmist US voices on immigration issues, I can find "evidence" of big problems too.

But I know from my own experience and looking at a variety of voices on the issue that the extremist positions are exaggerated and selective. I live in an area with a high proportion of immigrants; I even employ a couple. No problems.

If you know the answer you want to hear before you ever start looking at the actual evidence, alarmist writers fit the bill perfectly.

France had some nasty problems that they handled badly. So did we for a long time, but US culture survived and thrived, even though a couple of folks here are still mad about the 1960's.
