Obama keeps trying to sugarcoat something that is ugly and it's going to keep on biting him He has spent the last 20 years around these left-wing nuts and thinks they are normal. As Steyn said today, he's got a resume you could print on the back of his driver's license.

You're right. It may be as simple as it just being his nature, his nature that too many have been overlooking, clouded by their hopes and dreams for something different. It's a sound bite world we live in.

Imagine how ugly the internal polls must be looking for Obama and his team to take this action on a day when he should be celebrating. Now the Sunday shows will all be filled with Preachergate commentary too. If I were advising him, I would have told him to wait a week or two after you had the nomination locked up. Clouding the political victory weekend with "I quit the church" was a poor strategic decision imo. They just keep making them in the Obama camp. McCain is going to be given some real gifts down the road.
