I raise ODS as something of a joke I don't think it's ODS. At the moment it looks like ordinary bigotry--culling the "other." The treatment doesn't appear to be unique to Obama but would apply to anyone who is not one of "us." When you add political negative attack strategy to that...

One of the great hypocrisies in politics that never changes. This election year worries me because I'm afraid that either way it goes the ensuing term will be contentious and unproductive. None of the three major candidates suit me. Hillary has too much baggage. Obama is unproven. McCain has too many policies I don't care for. None of them represent my values very well. McCain comes closest, but that's not much of a recommendation. I do not see that a beneficial outcome of this election is possible. I'm afraid for the country.
