If we could see ongoing use profiles for marijuana, I'm sure it drops off steadily with age. That's ironic because the older you get, the more you can afford it, and odds are you have a private home where you can indulge at no risk.

It's a "so what" issue for most people over time. The biggest plus in decriminalizing soft drugs would be to stop the ancillary crime and the flood of money that goes to bad guys in the marijuana business.

That might lead some people to think some kids try it just because it IS illegal.

Our culture lacks a ritualized rite of passage from adolescence into adulthood, so teens have to make up their own.

I think its called "college". <g>

It worked that way in CA when the legalized pot for medical use.

Teen use went down.

I could guess about why. But I know about the stats.
