Faith-wise, Obama would seem to be closer to Dean than Carter - an essentially secular figure whose genuflections to religion were driven more by political expediency. Thats the view most generous to Obama. OTOH maybe Obama really goes along with some of the Wright/Pfleger stuff and is just handling the white folks.
