Karen, Krauthammer says this:

If Newton’s laws of motion could, after 200 years of unfailing experimental and experiential confirmation, be overthrown, it requires religious fervor to believe that global warming — infinitely more untested, complex and speculative — is a closed issue.

What do you think that means? I've heard the same thing said by other deniers/skeptics/agnostics.

Romm makes his living talking about this stuff. You may see him as just another guy making a living off of CC, I don't. He is a physicist and an environmentalist, yes. He worked in the Dept of Energy on alternate sources of energy in the 90s.

I think you're off base.

Back, and oh my, lots of posts....

I couldn't get past the first few paragraphs.

Well, I feel better.
It started rambling around so much I gave up.
But I don't know science and just decided to stick with the parts of K that I DID understand and approve.
I hadn't noticed the conditional aspect of that section. That makes more sense. It seemed odd that K would be so far off since I think he is the kind of educated that would check himself, but obviously many think not.
