I would say that ultimately yes, it affects his chances. Whether it will matter or not is a different subject. MM, you should have figured out by now that Politics is not my bag, exactly. I would suggest that you put a question like that to the board. You will get much better answers from them, than from me.

Looking at the last nine primaries (excluding Guam), he won four and came very close in Indiana. He is leading in the most important swing state, Pennsylvania, over McCain by almost 6% on average now.

Kentucky and WVA are probably irrelevant to his electoral strategy. McCain won't be competitive in many states, and Obama won't either.

IMHO, it doesn't matter much at all.
