I've heard several people on this thread say that they've voted GOP in the past and would do so again.

I also think that a great many folk here value Conservatives for their role in restraining the excesses of liberalism.

Can you say that for the denizens of PfP? (Taken from the opposite side, of course).

This thread has any number of Center/Right folk, Libertarians, anarchists and rebels, so we are hardly lock-step Liberals, even if such a thing existed (and it doesn't).

If you want to win hearts and minds over here, it is certainly doable, but you will need logical arguments and impeccable sources.

But perhaps you'd enjoy yourself more if you didn't come here with the attitude of a missionary among heathens.

Dale allows honest, civil dissent which is more than you can say for the "pros".

>> "prevailing views"

Obama rocks.

Conservatives and Republicans do not.

Conservatives are more at home over on the Politics for Pros thread.<<

MM -

Point one. Yes, Obama rocks in my opinion, and the opinions of several others here. However, there are at least three or four regulars who vociferously support Clinton. There are also a few who don't seem to care for Hillary or Barack.

I really don't think that most of us are being that simplistic about Conservatives and Republicans. I, myself, don't think that way. Most of the people on this thread don't.

I'm very much down on the Bush Administration, specifically, not all Republicans or all Conservatives.

As far as I know, Conservatives are most at home on golf courses, or in the bars at golf courses. ;-)
