If you ever spent some time working with Washington types, you would know what a vain rationalization that is for every wannabe who wants to act like an egomaniacal prick and get away with it.

You may get the rare Churchill who is also a great politician, but most who follow that road will burn bridges left and right and get dumped out of office with little lasting impact.

Many, many wannabes have tried.

I'm a big admirer of Churchill, too.

The man slept late in the morning, took naps in the afternoon, and polished off at least one full bottle of brandy every day. And he got Great Britain through the war.
