"Wow! They just don't get it. Stupidity must be a requirement at GM." They are just very predictable and backward looking in their thinking. Very "conservative"! SUV's have been their biggest sellers and major cash cows. So, if the people want hybrids, we'll give 'em giant SUV hybrids! THAT's what they REALLY want! I've got a tiny, 3 cylinder old Subaru Justy that can get 50 mpg, if I drive like a granny. If I drive like I drive, it gets about 40 mpg. Just in the last two weeks, 3 people have approached me and asked me if I want to sell it.
