I'm not sure where you studied political history but perhaps you need a refresher course. Here are just a few examples: In 1988 Dukakis and Jesse Jackson competed for the nomination at the Convention 1984 Mondale, Hart and Jesse Jackson all competed for the nomination at the convention. In 1980, Ted Kennedy ran against the sitting Democratic President, was over 700 delegates behind at this point in the primary season and took it to the convention. When Carter was nominated for a 2nd term, Kennedy refused to shake his hand onstage. He also refused to campaign for him. In 1968, 3 major candidates competed for the nomination at the convention. In 1952, there were 4 major candidates vying for the nomination at the convention. Stevenson won the nomination on the 3rd ballot. In 1948 in the absence of three dozen Southern delegates who walked out of the convention with Thurmond, 947 Democrats voted to nominate Truman as their candidate against 263 for Senator Richard Russell, Jr. of Georgia. In 1932, FDR did not secure the nomination until the 4th ballot at the convention. The 1924 convention took a record of 103 ballots to get a nominee. Posted by: \| June 2, 2008 11:03 PM

Obama is unelectable, so thanks to the bias and cheating of the Obamination group, we'll have McCain! Frankly, with so many women now quitting the Democratic party over the recent shenanigans and illicit allocation of delegates, B.O. couldn't with the general election even if the slew of revelations of his and Michelle's ties to anti-American, radical Marxist black theological movement types soon to come out in droves were kept under wraps. The vast majority of Americans know, and many more will realize each passing day, the perils of having so ignorant, inexperienced, arrogant, self-serving, divisive, and foolish a person as POYUS as Obama---he's an Obamination.
