I would think Sadr's militias have lost the will to fight with Sadr sitting in Iran at some country club.

I think Obama will choose Bill Richardson as VP. Let's start a list of everyone's choices and have a few laughs.

Obama supporter Malley had an interesting op ed in todays NY times. Thesis was a march toward peace in the ME with the US mia except in failed israel/palestine negotiations. Thesis was things are more settled in lebanon with quatar playing a moderating role. Turkey bringing israel and syria together. Egypt bringing israel and hamas together. I think iran thinks mccain is crazy and they will do all they can to help obama win which translates into quiet iraq, quiet mideast. This is not a shot at obama or a shot at mccain but just the way i think the iranians might be thinking. So given that kind of thinking there is a shot to make peace and the dangerous period is after the election and how iran confronts a dangerous mccain or a novice obama. There is a lot going on.
