Who are they? How do they know?

They say if you want to attack Iran, vote McCain because it WILL happen. And there is that temper thing...

He is like reagan in 80---he has to regain the respect for america around the world which bush has squandered. That does not automatically translate into mccain being a crazed warmonger. The one thing i worry about mccain most is that he was a pilot and some in that occupation believe air power alone can solve problems. Iran fits the bill because you have to bomb some things to delay their nuke program but bombing iran will lead to a whole series of assymetric moves back at us and i am not sure mccain knows the extent of how badly iran might be able to hurt us, particularly economically and in terms of energy. Of course if they do that we can shut off their gas as they have few if any refineries. (notsure)

"But he has surrounded himself with Neo's."

Has he ever. He recently got an assistant communications director who is a firm believer that the President has "near dictatorial powers" when it comes to the military and foreign policy. Despite the fact that the Constitution doesn't grant any such powers. To make it worse, when you read "The Federalist Papers" on the issue, Hamilton of all people argues strongly that the chief executive does not have anything close to that sort of power by design.

Whether McCain thought it was a good idea or not to go into Iraq, he has left NO doubt about how he feels about the handling of it.

I don't MIND a President having a temper. I DO mind a President not being able to work with BOTH sides of the aisle and jumping into things without the FULLEST consultation.

My questions about McCain regard his handling of economic issues.
