mud weight is too high causing more pressure in the wellbore than the formation. Drill pipe gets pressed up against the wellbore and sticks because there is to much differential pressure....and the pipe is not moving allowing the pipe to become stuck in the first instance. Keeping everything moving is the key....when sticking like this over a joint or two of pipe it can be impossible to pull it off....
