"Speculative buying has been cited "

Allen,

People reading this thread could honestly say that global warming has been cited as a hysterical mania. The statement would be true. The fact that I was the person making the comment would be irrelevant to the truth of the statement.

Don Coxe has written a good deal lately about speculation as a price cause. He says to watch the futures for contango - ie - future prices are higher than spot prices. When futures are higher people are not in for flipping.

When oil hit $135 I figured that was the blowoff top. I am long DUG and have sold some of my positions - which of course went higher. It will be interesting to see where the price settles in. A world recession would do a lot to drop the price.
