If Obama has less than a 50% chance of winning without Hillary, then he really doesn't deserve the nomination in the first place. He's a black guy. There are a lot of folks that won't vote for a black guy... so he starts out in a hole. Add to that the FUD of the swifters and he'll have some serious problems. Sure, do whatever it takes to get elected (what else is new with Democrats?)... Actually that hasn't been his pattern... he's confronted quite a few groups with unpopular positions. McCain on the other hand has flip flopped all over to please the base... but I guess that doesn't count 'cause he's a Rep.
