She can do these things. However, she was pretty roundly rebuked on it with the decision. It is pretty clear they sent her the message that was the best deal she was going to get.

Yeah, she was, but she can appeal that at the convention. If Obama totally rebukes her, she may stay in it until the convention. A lot of things can happened between now and the convention - like more damaging stuff surfacing on Obama. The superdelegates can change their minds anytime up to the convention.

This run for presidency was a multi-year effort for her, starting January 2000. She came within razor thin margin of winning, but there is no second prize. Walking away empty handed from all of that seems like something she cannot bring herself to do.

I think if her loss was a straight forward one, she would give up. But the bizarre rules of Dem nomination, such as winning Texas and coming out with fewer delegates, FL, MI etc. probably makes her think she was cheated out of the nomination.
