It was his right. But was it responsible? Was it consistent with the intent of the framers? Of course not.

They obviously never envisioned the "borking" of a candidate. If you want to talk about "advice and consent", perhaps you would want to consider what the framers meant by it. It certainly didn't mean that exceptionally qualified candidates would be denied a seat on the Court because of their ideology.

My only objection to Roberts is that he's a closeted gay with a beard wife and two adopted daughters, also part of his beard. It disturbs me to have such a dishonest, secretive, closed person deciding law for all of us.
