many young men came to canada during that time and we were pleased to help and have them. canadians still are, but our current government is not so welcoming. that's not surprising given our pm is a bushlite. young people who voluntarily join are an enigma to me, but then again, very specific advertising campaigns have been aimed directly at them. hell, if you can sell crappy beer successfully, you can sell a war. and its not just in the u.s. i've seen commercials preaching the benefits of joining the canadian armed forces that make me want to puke. i've never pondered the meaning of life - it just is. but one time under the influence of marijuana, i understood with astounding clarity, einstein's theory of relativity. its true. i did. :)
