But they ARE guilty.

Are they? Did Intel have a chance to defend themselves or like the JFTC was the decision made without input from Intel? Is a trial an option here?

Perhaps our resident expert on Japanese law was up late last night reading the back of breakfast cereal boxes and becoming an expert on Korean Law?

Jim, > But they ARE guilty. They should just face up to it.

You know as well as I do that in our lawsuit-happy culture, anyone can be sued for anything.

McDonalds was guilty of not warning idiot customers that their coffee is HOT. Should McDonalds have just "faced up to it," or were they justified in appealing the decision and at least getting the fine reduced?

> Arrogant companies think they can get away with anything with the right legal team to tie things up in court.
Where's the justice in all this?

You tell me. You look the other way while AMD pushes a lawsuit for PR, exaggerates everything under the sun, lies to its shareholders and its customers, pisses away billions of dollars, and rewards their execs handsomely for a job poorly done.

You think this is an issue of justice. All I see are two companies duking it out, both in the courts as well as in the marketplace. AMD even helped Microsoft entrench their own monopoly position just so that they can stick it to Intel.

You tell me Jim. Where's the justice in that? Anyone taking the high road in this whole slugfest is a damned hypocrite, if you asked me.
