There is one more camp....The criminals, gun runners, drug dealers bringing 'stuff' into the US, and all the other bad guys comprise the 4th camp....you can know where they are....

They are the ones who continue doing what they do, and are laughing their heads off at the 3 camps you mentioned...it just gives them more incentive to "keep on keeping on...."

One fears guns in the hands of citizens, another fears guns in the hands of govt. the last fears guns.

Fair enough. I am not an expert on firearms and I have no intention of becoming one. I have never even owned a firearm.

I would prefer to live in a society that was not an armed camp.

So I guess you could place me in both the first and third camp.

Citizens of course include mobsters, street thugs, and drug runners.
