Z,

An ounce of prevention...

Except, sickness and treatment of sickness are highly subsidized, prevention is not. It is out of your own pocket, with after tax dollars.

Not really. We're the only country in the industrialized world where people visit the doctor on average less than once a year, and because of that, we don't nip diseases in the bud.

You seem to have a lot of confidence in doctors. I don't.

Joe

I consider this a failure:
en.wikipedia.org

en.wikipedia.org

Other countries are rationing healthcare, what makes you so positive the US will not ration healthcare?

It's the same argument with anything, you guys says let's try it this time, it will work, even though it has failed every where else it has been tried.

Romney had the best plan I've seen, keep the system we got and let's work on taking care of those in need. Starting from scratch and destroying our current system, which is the best in the world, is nonsense.

You want an ounce of prevention? then children will have to become wards of the state.
