Call up any doctor's office and some will say they are not taking new patients. Some will say "sure, come see us". When you get there, they find out you have Medicare insurance and you are told "we are not accepting any new Medicare patients". My parents' doctor doesn't practice anymore and I've been having difficulties finding a new one.

Here is an example:
hhs.gov

Now why would some doctors not accept Medicare?

Look in your local yellow pages, you might see other examples of what I'm talking about.

Now before someone says that under national free medicare, all doctors will be required by law to treat all patients, good luck on getting a health care system that works better than England's or Canada's current system, and I won't waste time posting their horror stories.
